What a bargain! This gorgeous "Lamborghini yellow" level is simplicity at it's finest. Only two vials (if they're accurate, that's all one needs!), no adjustments or replaceable parts, nothing can or will come off and nothing ever needs to. One side is machined to a brilliant shine (which doesn't last long, of course), and the other three sides are coated with an indestructible glossy yellow finish. I do not treasure my tools and keep them packed nicely in protective cases like some - for me, such care is reserved for my photography equipment. I buy the best tools I can afford with the intent of abusing them terribly. I use this level as a pry bar, beat it with a mallet, and then throw it on the ground and proceed to step on it between beatings and it still is *dead* accurate and shines and glistens like new. Stabila has a fantastic lifetime warranty that I doubt even my great grandchildren will utilize. I find this size to be perfect for leveling shelves of bookcases and cabinets and other such furniture. It has an unusually small cross-section and gently rounded corners making it very comfortable to hold. At only 400g (14oz.) it is the same weight as a can of soda yet it is so rigid that I cannot even twist it with all my strength. I've had many levels over the years and just keep buying new ones as I get frustrated with the inaccuracies of each - I wish I had just bought this one Stabila as a boy and never even developed that nasty habit of flipping the level around to make sure it still reads level with each measurement. In fact, if I were stranded on a desert island, this would be the only level I'd want to have with me.
